One of Kinsale’s must do activities, The Kinsale Ghost Tour, runs from April to September and will leave you informed of the town’s interesting history and well and truly entertained!

Lusitania Museum and Signal Tower
The Old Head of Kinsale Signal Tower is a beautifully restored viewing point and museum on the iconic Wild Atlantic Way in Co. Cork. Open Daily from 10am
The signal tower which was originally built 200 years ago has been restored to tell two very different stories. On the ground floor it gives the history of this and other Irish signal towers and on the first floor tells the history of the sinking of the RMS Lusitania, which was torpedoed during WW1 by a German U-boat on May 7th 1915 resulting in immense loss in life.
Charles Fort
Perhaps the best-known historical attraction in Kinsale, Charles Fort National Monument is on the road just beyond Summercove. It is open all year. Charles Fort is one of the finest surviving examples of a 17th Century star-shaped fort, and much of the construction begun in 1678 remains. The fort has two enormous bastions overlooking the estuary, and three facing inland. Within its walls were all the barracks and ancillary facilities to support the fort’s garrison. The fort continued in military use by the British Army until February 1922.
Open Daily 1oam with last admission at 5pm Mid-March to 31st October and 4pm 1st November to mid-March
